David Vu

As Sales and Marketing Coordinator, David works behind-the-scenes with Fusion colleagues to better understand what clients and prospects are trying to achieve and how Fusion can help them. With strong support in the background, and energetic attitude upfront, he provides his team with the tools they need to be successful.

Joining Fusion Learning after graduating in 2008, David has grown alongside the company. Originally an Administrator and Desktop Publisher, he’s been able to learn more about the company and now has the opportunity to continue his development in sales and marketing.

“Joining a great team like Fusion, especially straight out of school, really helped me become a better professional and a better person. Learning is very important to me, and the fact that I had the opportunity to begin my career here makes me realize that I made the right choice after graduating from college. Life’s easy, you make choices and you don’t look back. And I haven’t since.”

What delights and inspires you about your work?
“I’m constantly looking for ways to evolve and Fusion Learning certainly nurtures that. Being a part of a company that values learning, I’ve been immersed in different areas of Fusion, wearing many hats and doing many different things. I find it inspiring to be able to help others reach their goals by applying what I’ve learned and being actively involved in so many areas.”

What is your background, and how does it impact your current role?
“Originally, I was enrolled in the Business Administration program at the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. As I headed into my second year, I decided to switch my focus to Marketing on the advice of one of my professors. Ultimately, I graduated with honours in 2008.

During my time in school, I was the assistant manager at Athlete’s World and EB Games. Managing and leading a team gave me a greater respect for the importance of collaboration and teamwork. That respect has stayed with me since, and I’m committed to helping my team reach their full potential.”

What is your perspective on sales development?
“You can’t be stagnant. Evolution and continuous learning are the keys to success in an ever-shifting environment.”
