Magdalena Popiel

Magdalena is the Administrator and Accountant at Fusion Learning. She manages the financial and administrative functions, and supports the Fusion team. Her positive energy, “can do” attitude and willingness to venture outside of her comfort zone allow her to succeed in a challenging and dynamic work environment.

What delights and inspires you about your work?
“The people. We have a great team here…we have fun and truly enjoy each other’s company. There is a lot of collaboration and team work, and so we are constantly learning from each other. I am grateful to be part of a company which values growth, and encourages me to develop on a professional and personal level.”

What is your background, and how does it impact your current role?
Magdalena graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. Her passion for people and relationship building is reflected in her sociology and psychology studies. As a critical thinker, she was also drawn towards philosophical studies, primarily ethics. After graduating, Magdalena had the opportunity to work in marketing, finance and administration. During this time she developed accounting skills, and is now pursuing further education in this area.

What is your perspective on sales development?
“Development is a life-long process, and even the best have something to learn. We need to acknowledge that we are not perfect, and that there are always ways to improve ourselves. To be able to learn, a person must have an open mind to new people, concepts and philosophies.”
