Scott Gilmore

Scott Gilmore combines the heart of an artist with the soul of an entrepreneur.

As SVP Sales and Marketing, he works closely with clients to understand what they're trying to achieve, and then uses his creativity to develop a solution, leveraging the best thinking from all stakeholders.

Scott says, “It feels great to hear participants say, That was the best learning experience in my business career, and knowing that I played a part in making that happen.”

With 20 years of training & development experience, Scott invested in Fusion Learning in 2006, and has contributed to growing the business five-fold in five years.

What delights and inspires you about your work?
“Being in the sales effectiveness business is tremendously gratifying. How can you not love a business that’s about helping people grow and reach their full potential? I love the fact that we provide people with life skills to help them be more effective at work and in their personal lives as well.”

What is your background, and how does it impact your current role?
“Years ago I dreamed of being an artist. At the Ontario College of Art I focused on painting, sculpting and filmmaking.

Making the shift from creative pursuits to corporate communications and into Training and Development is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

Married to his high school sweetheart, with two sons off to university soon, Scott says he is “passionate about developing lasting relationships with clients and contributing to the growth of Fusion.”
