Entrepreneur: Greig founded College Pro Painters as a one man operation in
Thunder Bay Ontario in 1971 and grew it to become the largest residential
painting company in the world with over 500 franchises and 5000 painters
across North America. He sold it in 1989.
World Traveller: Greig traveled around the world after graduating from
Ivey Business School in 1974 and again in 1989 after he sold College Pro and
lived with his family for a year in Aix En Provence, France.
Venture Capitalist: Greig founded, and was the managing partner of, the
Horatio Enterprise Fund in 1992 . With his partners he made 10 investments
in Small and Medium Sized Businesses. The final investment, Arxx Building
Products, was sold in 2007
Business Advisor, Philanthropist,Writer: Since selling the last Horatio
Investment Greig has divided his time between advising 7 entrepreneurial
companies on their growth and organizational development strategies and
working in a number of charities in downtown Toronto. Greig also writes a
regular column for Profit magazine.
